Dr. Yen Y. CHEUNG

Dr. Cheung currently practices as a registered counselling psychologist of The Hong Kong Psychological Society. She had obtained the Master degree of Social Sciences in Counselling Psychology offered by the Hong Kong Shue Yan University. She is also a register Clinical Supervisor and Counsellor of Asian Professional Counselling and Psychology Association. Dr. Cheung had accumulated abundant clinical experiences with clients from diverse demographic backgrounds throughout her intensive internship and externship training in various organizations. She is exceptionally capable of dealing with children's emotional, behavioral disturbances or students' special educational needs. Additionally, Dr. Cheung possesses extensive experience in cases relating to emotional distress, personal growth, relationship issues or cultural adjustment. Dr. Cheung is committed to promoting mental health to general public. She endeavors to conduct talks or workshops on different themes in an attempt to enhance public awareness towards psychological well-being.

She is currently a counselling psychologist of the Counselling and Research Centre of Hong Kong Shue Yan University. She provides professional counselling services for children, youths and adults. She excels in dealing cases related to emotional support, personal growth, interpersonal or relationship counselling, and she is also dedicated to providing support, assessment and professional counselling services to parents and students with special educational needs.

She practiced as a counselling psychologist trainee in a main-stream primary school in Hong Kong. She provided individual counselling, social training as well as emotional regulation and self-exploration experiential groups for primary students. Additionally, she also conducted psychoeducational talks on various topics for parents.

She practiced as a counselling psychologist trainee in a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO).
