Helen S. H. KWOK

Miss Kwok is a locally trained registered Counselling Psychologist. She has been awarded Master of Social Sciences in Counselling Psychology with distinction by Hong Kong Shue Yan University. Upon her graduation, she teaches counselling and psychology in university and professional teachers association, the classes she teach include personal growth, group counselling, counselling practicum supervision, anxiety disorder counselling, autism spectrum disorder counselling, long-term school refusal counselling. Beside, Miss Kwok is currently providing counselling psycholgical services to a number of local secondary schools, primary schools, kindergartens and NGOs. The targets she serve include different age groups, while she is specially good at handling cases of pre-school/school-aged children, teenagers, SEN students and parents, and those cases related grief counselling. She is committed to promoting counselling psychology to the general public, and the idea of Positive Psychology and strength-based approach. She is also an author for a parenting column in the Internet where she regularly writes articles of information related to counselling psychology and parenting, in order to raise the general public's understanding and awareness to mental health.

Professional Experience

  • Counselling Psychologist at CRC, provides psychological counselling services to children, adolescents and adults, including personal growth, mental health, love and interpersonal relationship counselling; provides counselling services to children with Special Education Needs (SEN) such as ADHD and ASD.
  • Offers psychological assessment and counselling services, social emotional training, professional consultations and emotional support services to educational staff and parents at mainstream schools.
  • Counselling Psychologist Trainee at aided special schools, and provided psychological assessment, individual/group counselling services to SEN students and their parents; organized training workshops and seminars to educational staffs.
  • Counselling Psychologist Trainee at CRC, and provided counselling services relating to personal growth, emotional and family issues to the general public.
  • Counselling Psychologist Trainee at Halfway House of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association, and provided psychological assessment, individual/group counselling services to people in recovery of mental illness.
  • Special Education Trainer and Counsellor at different mainstream schools and organizations.
